1363775 2013-12-28 23:50:00 IMO some things are best left undisturbed and left to settle even further down under piles of accumulated dust. Sorry beetle, but Mungo Jerry is definitely one of those. LOL

On the other hand George Gershwin will still be popular long after I have shuffled off this mortal coil ...

1363777 2013-12-29 00:40:00 @beetle, even Coast won't play Mungo Jerry . They opt for the almost-as-nauseating Sylvia's Mother instead . . . or Harry Chapin's "Taxi", playing as I write . . . :yuck:

P . S . Sylvia's mother may well be OK in her own right . . . I'm talking about the Dr Hook "song" .

:D

1363779 2013-12-29 00:45:00 Here in West Auckland it is dry. Again.

We keep seeing forecasts for showers and such but like last year it fails to happen or turns out to be a few spits, I can spit harder than that.
But after yesterdays promised showers in afternoon not happening, rain in evening not happening, we finally got a bit of actual rain this morning around 6am - 7am. Only half filled the (1000l) tank though...but still, a bit on the garden.

Friend in Canterbury has had rain for days, she has our usual weather, we have hers.

Here now hot and sunny again.

It would be nice if we got pelting down rain for a couple of hours once a week......but I suspect it will be like last summer.

However son in Waiuku has had some rain in the last few weeks, guess that's where the Auckland forecast was intended for.....

1363781 2013-12-29 04:14:00 I hate to break into the liked and disliked music debate ;) .

It rained almost all night and morning here, then cheered us up by clearing up a little. Bayfair Mall was teeming with humans. It did make my day by the wording on a large cellphone advert on display. I had know idea things had moved so far until I saw one proudly featuring it had 'massaging', maybe, just maybe, they meant 'messaging'.
