1364248 2014-01-05 01:22:00 In addition to your complaints(with which I concur) I would like to add the dislike of endless fishing and cooking programs.
...and that pointless part after the actual news and before the weather.

1364251 2014-01-05 04:58:00 If you turn the sound off, the graphics are basically what are sent our way by Met and are reasonably accurate.

It's the ridiculous dialogue that accompanies the graphics that annoys me. "Goal posts", "power engine", "washing machine" etc and other Hickeyisms that used to leave me wondering what the hell he was trying to say. Until I turned the dialogue off.

The forecast presented on NZ Herald on the other hand is longer, more detailed, and a more professional presentation. Credit where it's due, the Herald gets this one right.

1364252 2014-01-05 05:33:00 txting is what has been killing the art of spelling since the late 90's. It's also contributing to the degradation of the spoken word with the bulk of the Facebook generation writing and speaking in an assortment of modern acronyms. SPOT ON with :thumbs:that comment

The Breeze ( radio station) On Thursday ( from memory) they have a segment " Young persons word of the week" Its a laugh :D, they go talk to teens at random and find out what the latest word is, :waughh::lol: 100% of the time is some abbreviated word or (combination of words) , then ask what it actually means and use it in a sentence, usually answered by a bunch of giggling, as they do, while trying to use real words to explain. :p
