To be absolutely sure it will all be compatible to open my old version files, I will contact Ancestry first but yes Speedy I am 90% sure it will transfer with no problem and I feel its just a matter of installing the new version and my files will all open with it. I feel that this is the idea of updating but wanted to be sure before purchasing. Many thanks to you all. We always get good advice on the forum. Happy new year to you all. It wouldn't install either trying different compatibility modes, but it installed in Safe Mode and then runs OK in Win 8.1. Could be worth trying before buying an update. ...edit: but then there is a question of 32bit/64bit compatibility. |
