| 1379017 | 2014-07-12 02:15:00 | For some time I have been playing music videos from my laptop thru my relatively modern TV. I don't have a USB connection, just the multi-pin type (unsure of name.) Recently it hasn't worked, as follows : Having selected the PC option thru the TV AV settings, then selected the twin screen option via Function/F5 on the lappy, I get no TV picture reflecting what's on the computer. If I restart the laptop, I get the usual POST start-up stuff showing on the TV then the Windows XP startup. Before it goes through to the Desktop stage the TV picture disappears and that's it. I have tried disabling the Avast Anti-virus but no difference. The only thing I can think of that may have changed since the last time it worked was the installation of My Sky. Any thoughts.... |

Ran the operation thru another TV which indicated that the problem was one of resolution. I changed the resolution on the laptop and it now runs again. Not sure why the screen resolution had changed but it's solved the problem. |
