| 1378692 | 2014-07-07 00:35:00 | I recently begun to get frequent pop-up ads and unexpected redirects to other webpages when accessing various websites. Not all sites do this but one I use regularly, CNET, is badly affected. I use Mozilla Firefox (Level 30) on Windows XP (latest level) and a D'Link Router I ran MalwareBytes and SpyBot and corrected the 2 or 3 problems they reported, but the problem persists. I have now run HiJackThis and looked at the results - but need help to evaluate it. I was advised that I should submit the resultant logfile to this Forum for help. I can't see a way to attach the file here so will copy/paste it below. I can also provide Print Screens of the 2-page list of entries that HijackThis displayed following program execution. I hope some one can help. Here's the log file: Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.4 Scan saved at 10:13:38 a.m., on 7/07/2014 Platform: Windows XP SP3 (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v7.00 (7.00.6000.21376) Boot mode: Normal Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\Program Files\Microsoft Security Client\MsMpEng.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exe C:\Program Files\Google\Update\GoogleUpdate.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Skype\Toolbars\Skype C2C Service\c2c_service.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\Program Files\Canon\CAL\CALMAIN.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\dla\tfswctrl.exe C:\Program Files\Dell\Media Experience\PCMService.exe C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDVD\PDVDServ.exe C:\Program Files\Microsoft Security Client\msseces.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\Lib\NMBgMonitor.exe C:\Program Files\Gadwin Systems\PrintScreen\PrintScreen.exe C:\Program Files\Spybot -
