1363691 2013-12-27 04:26:00 Cowards today...

The wife parked the car in Dunedin today to do a bit of shopping...came out and someone had smacked into the rear of the car rendering it totally undriveable and then does a runner.Only vehicle we have on the road,so we are car less at least for the weekend until the repair shops open.

$300 excess, our car in the panel shop for at least a couple of weeks and if we are lucky a clunker to drive around in till they repair it or if they write it off we will have to find a replacement for it, all thanks to Spineless *uck wit who shouldn't be allowed on a skateboard, let alone a motor vehicle. I am totally pissed at the people today, they are morally bankrupt.

Luckily we do have two witnesses and rego numbers...bastards

1363692 2013-12-27 04:47:00 People who do a runner usually don't have insurance which is why they run.

Thankfully you have witnesses but I don't like your chances. Sadly, your insurance company will have to cough up.

I quite agree with your sentiments. Cowardly bastards.

AMI do optional excesses - ours is $100.
Clunker? Hey a courtesy car is helpful, may not be something you'd choose to buy but they do have WOFs.

These things happen, my mums car got hit in a car park (while she was parked and in shops).

1363695 2013-12-27 19:22:00 Yeah, these things will inevitably happen ... last year I was parked at Westgate and returned to find the passenger side headlight and parking light smashed. But there was a note on the windscreen; I contacted the driver who was all apologies. Made an arrangement with him to source and replace the smashed lights which he did, himself, within a couple of days. So it's good to find there are some honest folks out there who are willling to do the right thing.

Women have been wanting equal rights for some time now, and all men know that women "cause" accidents far more often that men ... :D
