320735 2005-06-30 05:24:00 Yes, I bought and used ProShow Gold. It was a bit labourious with my old computer setup (took about 12 hours to render and burn!), but with my new 'fast as the speed of lightning - well this month anyway' - it is just great.That was for a hour and a half DVD of slides with a variety of music - from our OE last year. It is a very valuable record.

320736 2005-06-30 05:41:00 Hi R M

Have a search for a freeware program called UniDream PhotoPlayer.
I have used this and it does a pretty good job of slideshows with sound and with all the fancy transitions etc. One great attribute is that the Player features can be altered in playback on the fly such as the time between slides etc.

320738 2005-10-21 03:23:00 Hi again
using ProShowGold
I have been making 'books' for the grandies i.e. photos recording my words which the kids love and others with music...one query I have for anyone that uses ProShow.
Rather than have a continuous show of many 'books' that the viewer has to watch....if they later want to get to a favourite story.
can I create the main show made up of individual shows
- showing these individual shows 'indexed' so that the viewer can
click on the show of their choosing when they start the DVD?
I think that ProShow does this but I haven't found how yet
cheers Lindy :)

Cheers
