320830 2005-02-02 17:11:00 Recently had a new hard drive put on (W98SE). All drivers were installed by the tech. Problem is that I work over the net and use a foot pedal and I think that is part of the problem. Keep getting the above message when I switch between my work programs, transferring typed document from word processing program (Word 2000) to server holding program. Won't let me sign off jobs and takes forever to get rid of so that I can sign off jobs. I now have 2 game port devices on my system, one with a yellow exclamation mark. I have been trying to disable it. Does anyone know why these things are happening, are they related, and how do I solve the problem? I am not really that knowledgeable with regard to the inner workings of the computer so explain in beginner's terminology. Would prefer an email at heyjude513@aol.com. Jude (2777)
320831 2005-02-02 19:47:00 It sounds like a soundcard conflict. If u have 2 soundcards, in that computer (1 onboard, and a PCI soundcard), either go into the BIOS, and disable the onboard soundcard (hopefully the entry is in there somewhere).

Or remove the PCI soundcard.

I think its better if we post in here. That way, other people who may have the same prob, will be able to fix it.
