321230 2005-02-03 21:33:00 Could some kind person please point me to the method of showing the file attributes in Windows Explorer for XP? The Regedit tweak used for 98SE doesn't seem to apply. Also, I see that many people here have personalised their comments under their name. I have looked at my profile but don't seem to be able to access that aspect.
Many thanks in advance,
Ken

321231 2005-02-03 21:36:00 Right-click - properties? godfather (25)
321232 2005-02-03 21:41:00 Thanks, Godfather.
My requirement is to view the attribute of each file in a folder or disk when it is listed in detail format. I know how to individually check each file but that would be a hellishingly long process.

321233 2005-02-03 21:44:00 Click the 'views' button in the toolbar and select detail, then right click the new tool bar and select what details you want displayed.

If it doesn't give the options required then you may need either a reg-hack or a 3rd party file manager.

321234 2005-02-03 21:45:00 That's even easier.
In the explorer right hand pane, right-click on the header of the columns (name, size etc) and select what info you want displayed. Includes attributes.

And the user title is under User CP - Edit Profile - Custom User Title. Some forums require a minimum number of posts before you get access to such things, unsure about this one.

321235 2005-02-03 21:56:00 Thanks all. In the end it was lack of memory. (My memory that is, there is so much to remember when one resets a system.) I work with an ever-growing checklist but that wasn't on it. In the end it was Windows Explorer - View - choose details - tick the appropriate box.
Cheers,
Ken
