321070 2005-02-03 07:55:00 Ive tried to burn a disk of mp3s thru Nero, it starts but then stops. It says a few things, "scsi command aborted", "drive not ready", "could not perform endtrack", and "invalid write state". Ive tried burning at diff speeds, that doesnt help. Im using a Sony dvd+/-rw/cdrw and Im on WinXP pro w/SP2. Ive also tried burning thru musicmatch jukebox, doesnt work there either. The drive burned disks on my old computer but I had a friend build me a new one. I also had a problem with my printer, until I found out I needed a patch from the Canon site because it wouldnt work right with Windows SP2. Could the SP2 be causing problems with my dvdrw as well? Thanks! Genius1310 (7040)
321071 2005-02-03 10:01:00 Does Nero need a patch?
Look for new firmware for your writer ...
Make sure that you have latest motherboard drivers.

Or maybe your drive has just given up the ghost (I had one that stopping burning near the end of disks properly and I had to get a new one).

321072 2005-02-03 12:25:00 maybe one of the mp3's is faulty ? , perhaps try a different compilation and try and identify the problem track . KatiMike (242)
321073 2005-02-03 18:59:00 What version of Nero is installed?? Version 6.3.1.20 + work with SP2. Speedy Gonzales (78)
321074 2005-02-03 22:30:00 Got the right stuff for Nero, I've tried everything and I'm pretty sure the burner is shot. Now, what new burner should I buy? I have the Sony DW-D18A, Dual Layer, Read12x(dvd)40x(cd), Write40xcd/8xdvdR+/-, Rewrite 24xcdrw/4xdvdrw. I need the best of the best, maybe pioneer, plextor, another sony? Gotta be reliable, fast, doesnt matter how loud it gets. Price is no concern either. Id like it to be as fast, if not faster than what I have. Genius1310 (7040)
321075 2005-02-04 07:39:00 I have just purchased a NEC dual layer ND-3520A DVD burner and it seems to go well.
