| 321674 | 2005-02-04 22:41:00 | Hi a friends computer which has Windows 98 SE badly needs a reinstall. Has many corrupted files and frequent error messages. I was starting to reinstall Windows. After booting from a start up floppy some keys are producing two letters on screen. And if the letter I want is the second one in Dos arrowing back to clear the first unwanted letter wipes out the letter I want. Every command that I could think of to use in Dos had at least 1 key that caused a problem. The problem keys are on the left hand half of the keyboard mostly on the middle row if that helps. Having started normally from the hard disk again the problem still exists in Windows. Is this a driver problem? Any ideas welcome. thanks Rob |
