321479 2005-02-04 12:36:00 Hi..
I have a IBM T42 thinkpad. Each time I try writing on to a CD-RW, I get an error as follows:
Sense: 03 ASC: 0C ASCQ: 00 (Command 00)
-------------------------------------------------------
Px.dll: 1.6.14.507
pxdrv.dll: 1.0.47.0
PxMas.dll: 1.6.14.507
PxWave.dll: 1.6.14.507
PXWMA.dll: 1.0.0.3

I am able to write correctly to a CD-R cds. Please help..How do I correct this?

Welcome to PressF1

What burner Make/Model?
What brand media?
What speed are you burning at?

What software are you using to do the burn?
Are you burning it as a Data CD, Audio CD, or UDP Packet Cd?

Cheers

Chill.

321481 2005-02-04 12:48:00 This means the media you are using is not supported well by the drive. You should try different media. Updating the firmware may also help. Rob99 (151)
321482 2005-02-04 13:58:00 i am using the software IBM Record Now by Sonic. The CD drive is an IBM CD-RW/DVD drive.. Ultra Speed.. Trying to write onto a Sony CD-RW Cd with speed 1x-4x. I tried this on a colleagues laptop with identical configuration and it worked fine there... chetang (7147)
321483 2005-02-04 14:01:00 I was trying to create a Data disc with some mp3 files, some Excel and word files...nothing worked!! chetang (7147)
321484 2005-02-04 19:06:00 What Model drive though.... I use a Clevo laptop, but Ive had a Samsung, Philips, & aOpen drive in it.

Try doing a FULL format of the Disc

321485 2005-02-04 23:58:00 The error is a Medium error which means the brand of disk is not supported fully, it may work, it may not. Try a different brand of disk.

Or google your error and find out for your-self.

I tried doing a FULL format and that too failed!! The laptop is that of IBM and so is the CD-RW/DVD drive!!
