| 321897 | 2005-02-05 23:45:00 | On my old laptop, everytime I open IE, it gives me the "Encountered a problem and needs to close" and asks me if I want to send an error report. I can see the homepage load up underneath the message, so I don't think it's my connection... would switching browsers help? BTW, I'm running Windows 98... Yes, it's an old laptop. I got for free so I don't care. |

Also, if I remember correctly if you go into Add/Remove Programs and select Internet Explorer, it will come up with a Repair option. (can someone confirm this?) If you don't have anything important on the laptop yet, it might be worthwhile re-installing Windows, then you will be sure everything is right. |
