321489	2005-02-04 11:35:00	Ive heard too much bitching from you lot over the last week. So, effective immediately we're going to try something for the next week: No insults, however subtle they may be. We are an INFORMATION forum - And fact is the constant insults and snide remarks are totally unneccesary and uncalled for. In this thread, feel free to have a go at me, I honestly dont care, but make sure its only in this thread. Get into a heated debate outside of this thread and we start with 24 hour bans that go right up to permanent. Now Im not saying you cant disagree with people - By all means go ahead. What I am saying is when the "Yo mama" jokes start coming in etc, that I will now start banning on site coz I simply cant be stuffed any longer. I used to make 30+ posts a day being helpful, assisting people. Now I make maybe 3-6 posts chasing people up and keeping them in line, and even less in helping. Whats gone wrong? Humor? Sure, I like a joke as much as the next guy, and I know there are some users around here who can take a joke real well, while others appear to never wake up on the right side of the bed. I'll admit to laughing at many of the comments here, but that doesnt make it alright. Point being: Get along - You'll soon learn what we'll tolerate and wont. Besides, its only 24 hours, you're not going to DIE if you dont get to spend the night posting comments on a Forum, will you?! Try lurking a bit instead. So, here's what I think: You get banned & you get an Email telling you the thread and the reason why You reply to the email and your ban is extended You keep argueing and we make the ban permanent So, if you dont like it, then heres the thread to tell me and the other mods/admins This is not an excuse to slag off at others in this thread, but to tell us what you think. Tell me you dont like it, tell me you do like the idea, whatever! But basically you've got about 6 hours while I sleep to read this before I log in to the Moderator control panel and prepare to start the bans! Just keep in mind that its you lot that have brought it to this. It may take a week to get used to but from there I think we'll all be a lot happier. Just remember that when I ban you, its nothing personal, because I can honestly say there's not a single member here that I would go so far as to say I dislike or have a grudge against. I have to put on my Moderator hat to do it but prefer to walk day-to-day without it. Sweet dreams all Chill.	Chilling_Silence (9)

321495	2005-02-05 04:58:00	This is just getting silly. You cannot moderate on personality, or whether one person dislikes another, or constantly gets their feathers rustled. Or if a poster has an opinion that doesn't sit well with the mods, You need to be above all that, realize that people are people, and will act accordingly. The forum has rules and its at your discretion as to how harsh a punishment is dished out, but what your trying to police at the moment isn't about rules and is unmanageable and doomed to failure. That's a fair comment Metla, and I agree with you (don't fall over:D), but to be even fairer, we could do with less deliberate feather rustling and deliberate provocation. 321498	2005-02-05 05:34:00	Billy, a large amount of this has been caused by your egomanical campaign to get everyone you don't like booted from the forum. If you had the ability to see that just because you don't like something or someone doesn't make the person bad then things would be smoother. Personally I believe you deserve more then the slight digs people take at you, But your a lost cause.	Metla (12)
