| 321460 | 2005-02-04 10:07:00 | I used to use VB 6, but decided to move to .NET. I have a problem with the Winsock control. Or more that there isn't one. Google tells me that I need to be using: Imports System.Net.Sockets It works, sort of. Well, it seems to be stripped down compared to Winsock - new versions are meant to be better, right? Anyway, I am missing features such as local IP address (not too hard to work around) and event-based accepting of connections in. Is there possibly any way to use Winsock like it was with VB 6, or could someone correct me where I am going wrong. As you can obviously see I am new to .NET. Cheers, George |
