RECOMMENDED ACTION: Always permit. Note that this file is attacked and altered by many Trojan horses and worms; scan regularly. |

| 322039 | 2005-02-07 05:09:00 | Should I rerun the XP Home CD again incase it is missing something?? PJ | Poppa John (284) | ||
| 322040 | 2005-02-07 05:19:00 | Are you saying that you have it ticked as "allow" on that PC but it still keeps popping up? Sorry, it's been a long day and I cannot quite make that assumption looking at the posts! As for reloading, that's unlikely to fix anything unless you are also getting a message that something is missing as well? Remember, you probably annoy the hell out of Maryann as well, but you are still there! |

| 322041 | 2005-02-07 05:19:00 | When I run sygate, every now and then I would remove the list so everything has to ask again, best done with a clean system. Then run all the programs that need internet access, eg OE, IE, FF, AVG, Ad-Aware, Spybot etc, etc. And set them to allow and not ask again. most other things you can block. |

| 322045 | 2005-02-07 08:04:00 | I may have fixed the popup problem by finding ntoskrnl.exe in the sygate & taking out 'Allow" & putting in "Block" instead. Have not seen the popup for a while. Hope I haven't put a curse on something else !!!! Thanks for all your help. PJ | Poppa John (284) | ||

PJ This may be a really silly question PJ, but in Sygate you have two options - "Always allow", and "Yes" or something like that. If you tick the former it never asks you again - if you tick the latter it asks you every time the programme tries to access the internet. Um, which option did you tick? My apologies if this seems like doubting you, but if you are new to using Sygate, you may have overlooked the distinction. :) |
