| 322059 | 2005-02-06 11:36:00 | well you have to buy dual memory kits (i.e. with 2 sticks of matched RAM) usually. Unless you intend overclocking there is a very small difference between the performance of RAM in real-world use. Geil compatability matrix here (www.geilusa.com) I'm assuming you are going for 2 X 512 = 1 gig total. If not then you'd be better buying a cheaper (but reliable brand). Legend, Kingston are cheaper options - look at warranty details as bad sticks are not as rare as you may think (seen a few sticks that are faulty on arrival). |
