| 322829 | 2005-02-08 22:39:00 | Hi, hope I'm posting this in the right place I have recently moved over from the UK and am looking to get myself broadband out here, having a bit of trouble finding a decent service though, I want at least 1mb connection and all of them seem to have a rediculous 10gb capping with 56k throttling after that. I am in the Auckland area and was wondering if there were any ISPs that offered better products, i can remember seeing some company offering 'unlimited' but that turned out to be 15gb. So know anyone or who would you recommend? Cheers in advanced |

That's quite shocking though, i'd always thought UK was way behind the times when it came to broadband, and it definitely is when you look at scandanavian countries. Ihug only seems to offer an unlimited package on 256k above that it is 1gb-10gb, was wanting at least 1mb... ah well, looks like i'll have to be a bit more strict in what i download :( |

| 322836 | 2005-02-08 23:30:00 | also watch out because at the moment the uncapped offerings (such as Orcon 256K) are congested at the moment. The big time leechers have moved in first and the UBS setup can't cope. The rampant crime seems confined to the north thankfully though ;) |

Welcome to NZ, Our little slice of paradise. heh sounds like back home, i'll fit in well You didn't mention earthquakes, volcanoes, jelly fish at your favourite swimming spot, ross river fever and being 3000 miles from the nearest help Met's, with that sort of unhelpful publicity we'll have people jumping off boats and jamming up the aisles. Hmmm, on second thoughts I retract the last one, help, it's much further away than across the ditch. |
