| 322576 | 2005-02-07 22:22:00 | At my buisness our windows XP machines are set to require a password when coming back from screensaver. The password we use is in caps and we would like to keep it that way. The problem is an anoying warning that pops up as soon as you start to enter the password. It says "your password may be incorrect due to caps lock being on" or something like that. Is there an easy way to stop this warning from coming up or can i get rid of it by editing the registry? Please help, I really don't want to change the password. | bloodthief (7187) | ||

If this means thatt here is only one password, known to all users, it doesn't give any security anyway, whether it's uppercase or lowercase or mixed.;) The OS shouldn't complain when you enter the password. I doubt if there's any way around it. (If it's going to complain at all, it should do it when the password is assigned. Yet another demonstration of OS writers ignorant of basic security.) :( |
