322795 2005-02-08 22:55:00 Recently I bought an 1100mhz Intel Celeron with an Asus Tusi-M motherboard.
It came without a HDD or motherboard drivers.
I've installed a 60gB seagate HDD and loaded up win98se.
After visiting www.asus.com I downloaded the bios writer utility and the bios updates and proceeded to flash the bios - bringing it up to date. All went well.
Next I've been loading up drivers from driver.com and from www.asus.com - but I've hit a snag....
I've got the audio driver, usb, lan and modem drivers installed OK - they each had a setup.exe file that loaded everything once unzipped - however, I can't get the display-adapter or graphics drivers to load. I tried to install several different ones but most don't have any setup.exe or install.exe files when unzipped.
How do I load these display-adapter drivers onto the system? I'm stuck!!

Is there a better way to do it - I mean - isn't there a way you can visit a "FIX-UP" website that looks at your PC and suggests driver downloads to update it - like microsoft does with it's updates?

322796 2005-02-08 23:07:00 You can just unzip them and then

From the start menu select Start -> Settings -> Control Panel. Click on the System icon and then from the System Properties window select the Device Manager tab. Find your display adapter

To install a driver manually use the following procedure:

1. From the device manager double click on the device
2. This would open a device properties window.
3. Click on the Driver tab.
4. Click Update Driver push button.
5. You now get two options. The first option provides an automatic search for the required driver. The second option allows you to specify the location of the driver. If you don't know the location of the driver choose the automatic search which would find the required driver from the manufacturer supplied CD or Floppy disk.

Just specify the location at step 5 such as c:\display or wherever you unzipped them.

322797 2005-02-08 23:07:00 Bit unusual for there not to be an .exe
Have the correct driver downloaded & unzipped to a folder on your desktop
From memory 98 goes something like this:
Right click My Computer select properties
Then select Device Manager
Find your graphics card right click & select properties
Somewhere there will be an Update driver tab
Browse to the unzipped folder on your desktop & away it will go
If it doesn't you've possibly got the wrong driver

322798 2005-02-09 01:17:00 I see this board has SiS 630ET integrated Graphics. Try downloading the drivers from the SiS website;
