| 323472 | 2005-02-10 03:24:00 | I've been installing Sims2 Dvd edition on a friends computer, and its completely stumped me... as I installed it straight forward, but silly me took dvd out and went to click play, then had to put it back in, but it says "cannot find start.exe, please instert dvd" :badpc: .....and we can 100000000% honestly say its a legal purchased version.....so we cannot take it back...... I've uninstalled, reinstalled twice....so??? i dunno what to do here...i cant try it on my computer as i havent got my dvd drive yet... Comp meets specifications so its not one of those hardware errors...and hes using windows me.... |

| 323475 | 2005-02-10 03:50:00 | Due to copyright laws, The warehouse are unable to replace, refund or exchange any software, please choose your title carefullyThat's to stop people buying, copying, then returning software saying that they don't want it anymore. You still have a right to return software that doesn't work (as long as your PC meets the system specs etc. - you can't return software if you didn't make sure you had the right specs beforehand). | 323478 | 2005-02-10 03:55:00 | Instead of putting in the dvd and then starting it from the desktop icon or from the "start, programs, list" Can you click on My Computer, then right click on the drive where the disk is then click open, and then click on the start exe from there?? | G-Boy (6793) | ||
| 323479 | 2005-02-11 22:38:00 | We gave up with this, took the PC to the computer shop along with the game, to see if there is really something wrong with the PC or dvd....and apparently the dvd was faulty as the guy tried it on 11 different computers in the shop, so he wrote a note to explain it, and we took it back to warehouse as we did go there first but they flatly refused and said we gotta contact the makers....so yeah, but after they readed the note, they got the manager etc, and came away with a new copy, and now it works :D thanks guys for ur help :) |

If you ever go to them and they say something about you having to contact the makers, tell them that because it doesn't work then it's their responsibility to take care of that side of things as the retailer, not yours.
