323431 2005-02-10 01:58:00 Amongst today's 80 odd spam messages was one from this organisation telling me that my email address is out there circulating and attracts spam  (REALLY? I would never have thought this! I live and learn ;) ).

I'm sure I've seen emails from them in the past in my flying trip through the spam folder with the delete key. (Spam filters are great)

Anyone tried it?
Been to their site to look?
Does it work?

323433 2005-02-10 03:03:00 Cool. Interesting reading. Thank you.

Hadn't thought as far as them wanting money due to the .org tag. And also didn't feel like visiting their site to find out that I really didn't want to be there in the first place. :) - if you see what I mean.

Speaking of spam and scams - A neighbour rang the other day to tell me, with great excitment, that she had won a trip to the Caribbean. She wasn't too impressed with my reaction and was certain it was legit.

323434 2005-02-10 03:13:00 An Aunty of mine believes every add and spam mail she recieves (no idea if she has bought herself any enlargment pills,I would look for hair growth along the lip but its already pretty bushy.....)

Anyhow, She was advised she had won a free trip and cruise to/around the states, even wrote them a thankyou letter advising she couldn't take them up on the offer and asking if she could pass the prize to a freind,...and sent them her address book.....

Lmao.

Still,...she did buy a duron 1200 comp from Noel Leemings for $5500,harbours nearly every virus known to man on her comp, and constantly argues me me about comps...

I avoid her like the Black Death....

Dad, highly computer literate (once) now legally blind and suffering the after affects of some minor strokes acts as translator for Mum (deaf and computer illiterate).

No doubt I'll ignore the age limits on computers too one day (and no Dad, I can't change your ink cartridge over the telephone... )
