322872 2005-02-09 02:13:00 I can't find out how to do this. I used to be able to do it, but perhaps that was using an earlier WinZip version. Is it still possible to do it using WinZip 8.0? :annoyed: ssssss (2100)
322873 2005-02-09 03:14:00 Just start zipping the files, winzip will ask for more disks as and when required.

For more information (if necessary), read the Winzip help files or search them for spanning.

322874 2005-02-09 03:16:00 Look up spanning in the help. It's automatic on removable media drives. If you're using a lot of floppies Sod's Law states that at least 1 will end up faulty when you try to retrieve the archive. PaulD (232)
322875 2005-02-09 03:25:00 Start by making a .Zip file on the disk itself, its then automatic. Chilling_Silence (9)

It is not possible to take an existing zip file and span - it is possible to split an existing zip file for copying to floppy disks.

Alternatively, and possibly simpler would be to unzip the archive to your HDD, then re-zip it, which will automatically span.

I assume that CD burning is not available.

Can you expand?

322881 2005-02-09 09:44:00 If it's already zipped up and you're not going to unzip the folder then rezip onto floppies you can use file splitters which requires you to rejoin the file again, but it's probably easier for you to unzip the folder then rezip onto floppy. The automatic multispanning should happen once this drive is selected.
