| 322854 | 2005-02-08 23:21:00 | Hey, I use my Fedora Core 2 Server box to rip and encode my dvd collection. I have some of them however that I ripped using another machine. I use DVD::RIP on the FC2 box for this purpose, but weirdly it can only encode dvd's it ripped (there is no option to input other files, it's like a 1 step process) Can anyone reccommend another program that can take VOBs and encode to DivX for me? | 322856 | 2005-02-09 00:27:00 | www.dimension.net.nz Its a txt file that will show you how to convert AVI's etc to DVD - Similar process to go back the other way Otherwise use mencoder as part of the mplayer packages (Im not sure if Fedora RPM's bundle it seperately). But DVD > XviD would best be done with mencoder :) Chill. |
