324283	2005-02-12 01:41:00	Hi People can anyone assist? I bought a dvd recorder and last night recorded a prog off television. On dvd+rw which is the format for the recorder. I wanted to save and edit the stuff I recorded but when I put into my pc dvd burner my pc freezes and I have to restart after removing the disk. any reason for this do you think? thanks for help Jazzbo	jazzbo (5750)
324284	2005-02-12 01:57:00	What are you running on?? What OS?? ram etc?? And how exactly are u trying to edit it? What program are you using? Did the dvd recorder finalise the DVD?? Or does it allow you to add to it on a PC, then finalise it? And whats your PC dvd burner?? dual format? + or - or what?	Speedy Gonzales (78)
324285	2005-02-12 02:07:00	Good on yer for quick reply Speedy. Im running win98se 500meg ram I use my dvd +/- writer/reader all the time. I burned the tv prog on a rw disk and I didnt finalize anything.. my pc dvd is +/- compatible. I have 100gb hdd. The finalize setting, as far as I can tell, is only for Dvd+R not RW but you have more knowledge than I. Does this help my friend? Jazzbo	jazzbo (5750)
324286	2005-02-12 02:27:00	Ah ok Jazz . How big is the finished program on the DVD?? Is it greater than 4 GB?? Does it use up ALL of the blank DVD? If so, I think Win 98 (since it's formatted in FAT32), has a limit of 4GB for files or something?? This maybe one reason why its crashing . What program, on windows 98 are you using to edit the dvd from the recorder with?? Nero? other?
