| 324035 | 2005-02-11 22:19:00 | Hi guys, I was wondering..when i try copy and paste something into notepad it says.... "NOT ENOUGTH MEMERORY TO COMPLETE OPERATION (i assume copy and pasting), QUIT ONE OR MORE APPLICATIONS TO INCREASE AVAILIABLE MEMORY AND TRY AGAIN" I do quit the applications but the same thing is said...how can i fix this..... I use windows 98. Thanks in advance. |

| 324040 | 2005-02-12 02:11:00 | I think that is too big for Notepad. What application are you trying to copy from? You could try deleting all but the area you want, then "Save As" a new file containing just that. You could then edit that if you want to add to it. But you still haven't said what sort of thing you are trying to copy.:( |

| 324041 | 2005-02-12 04:26:00 | Notepad can't handle files bigger than 32kb. Try using Wordpad or download Metapad. If you still get the error, try a cold reboot to release memory. W98 doesn't always free up memory completely when you close files. I don't think file type or content is relevant in this particular instance. Cheers Billy 8-{) |

I occasionally copy and paste extracts from reports (including diagrams and/or graphics) with sizes in excess of 500kb and sometimes of several Mb. No problems. Cheers Billy 8-{) :thumbs: |
