Also since about last week my sound volume turns itself down automatically so that its silent I dont know what causes it I dont think I have any virus's r spy ware ive run scans to check though didnt find anything. do you think it could be a problem with my sound card r perhaps my wires, I dont know what make my soundcard is, if anyone knows were I could get new drivers or has any idea whats causing plz let me know :help: i should also mention that when i plug my headphones into the appropiate slot (the green one) they work |

You will need to find out what your soundcard is though - right click on volume control in the taskbar and click "adjust audio properties" and under the audio tab have a look what your playback/recording device is... |

| 323766 | 2005-02-13 00:05:00 | Check all your connections to the speakers and the soundcard and make sure the Balance/Fader settings on the external amplifier for the speakers is set correctly... Use Creative Surround Mixer and make sure the speaker mode is set to 5.1 and then press the test button - also make sure the balance is set correctly with the Bal/Fade button - also check that the option "Synchronize with Control Panel" is ticked. If that all fails make sure your speaker setup under windows is correct in Control Panel. |
