| 323725 | 2005-02-10 22:46:00 | I am trying to burn a video DVD with my avi files. I am using Nero Visionexpress3. However when I drag my avi files to the TS folder nero tells me it will only accept vob, ifo or bup files. Why can I not burn avi files? Everyone has told me nero definitly does burn avi files ie change them to mpeg and burns. I obviously am doing something thats basically wrong in using Nero. Any ideas for a simpleton?? |

| 323726 | 2005-02-10 22:54:00 | A DVD disk only has the files you mention, but if you haven't an authoring program you can change your AVI to an Mpeg2 then nero will burn it as a SVCD disk. or burn the mpeg2 files and they are quite aceptable to most DVD players. | 323728 | 2005-02-10 23:16:00 | Nero comes in many versions,and being moduler your certain to only get the basics if unless you shell out some cold coin, I believe they have an add-on available and a stand alone version for Authoring DVD's. Having said that, Nero authoring isn't my cup of tea,and most if not all drives come with an app designed for what your trying to do...Unless perhaps you have a brand name comp full of bells and whistles that don't do anything useful. Have a look at any install cd's you have,There maybe something suitable that wasn't installed. Personally i use Uleap apps,they have a large range and all are available as a time limited demo if you wanted to download one for your project. |

Are you sure it Visionexpress3, I use that with much success. I use the "Add Video Files...." to add to the project, there is no draging to VIDEO_TS folder, sounds like you might be using Nero instead. |
