| 323859 | 2005-02-11 22:29:00 | I'm having issues with my modem - its not just the settings for the port forward that I get the message "Invalid command" - I get it if I change almost any setting... it seems the only settings I can change are on the first page - user name, isp details, etc. Hmmm... M. |

| 323860 | 2005-02-12 00:52:00 | Well, now that I seem to have overcome my earlier issues with port-forwarding... Where to from here? I turned on the port-forwarding, but when I try to connect to my external internet IP I get a password box asking to connect to my modem - it doesn't seem to be forwarding the port, is that right? This was way easier when I was using a 56k modem :D M. |

| 323861 | 2005-02-12 04:40:00 | Turn off external access to it. ALWAYS get somebody else to check your settings, some routers will not take internal connections to the external address. In otherwords I type in www.dimension.net.nz and I'll get errors. Anybody else types it in and its fine. This is when you change your HOSTS file :D |
