| 323702 | 2005-02-10 20:27:00 | One way of doing this is click start and in the run box type sfc /scannow there is a gap after sfc . this runs the windows file checker and will ask for your cd if there is any thing missing. hth |

The only problem with doing the scannow is that it tends to want to replace files that have been updated by Windows security and critical updates so that you need to redownload/reinstall them again. :( Because of this I only use scannow when really necessary. |

Run Q3 bench mark and see if crashes occur (for non-gamers there are more formal utils). The best test is to give the PC to someone and see what happens (.i.e do they say it crashes). |
