| 324672 | 2005-02-13 16:20:00 | help!!!!!!! iv just bought my pc last month, and im already encountering problems . . . at first,, it was working fine,, but recently, in the middle of the game, the sound goes out . . i checked everything (physically) but all connections were just fine . i tried opening the sound effects manager while playing . and when the prblem starts, the manager reports a connection error . . that the line is not connected properly . . . i used different speakers, but it didn't help . . . please help me!!!!! and i repeat . . the problem only occurs when i play a game . . (pacific assault, warhammer:dawn of war, nba 2005 . . simply put, all my games . ) here's my pc spec . . Pentium 2 . 8 HT 512 ddr on board sound . . (ALC655 version 5 . somentin') windows xp SP2 ecs motherboard 80 G HD thats all,, |

| 324673 | 2005-02-13 19:42:00 | Hi and Welcome to PressF1 :) What version of DirectX do you have installed? You can find this out by going Start > Run and entering in dxdiag. Also, try out the sound tests available in dxdiag. Post back here with your results. |

| 324674 | 2005-02-13 20:40:00 | Pretty sure Service Pack 2 includes DirectX 9.0c so should be ok Do the tests & see if there is a problem Check Windows update for any hardware updates & also check your boards manufacturer for any driver updates |
