324715 2005-02-13 23:21:00 I have a website with some photos on it which appear fine on my CRT screen at 800x600, but are degraded when viewed on an lcd screen. What can I do to ensure that photos appear properly on any screen and at any resolution? bpt2 (6653)
324716 2005-02-13 23:28:00 What is the resolution of the LCD screen? Could your browser be "stretching" the images to fit the window? Unless a browser is distorting them they should not look any worse on another monitor.

Have you specified the image sizes in the HTML code to let browsers know what size they should be?

If you wish you can post the link to the photo page so that we can tell you what they look like on our own LCD screens and offer suggestions on how to improve them if necessary.

324718 2005-02-13 23:58:00 All the images on that website look fine to me - nice and clear. This is on a LCD at 1280x1024 resolution and with Firefox.

Is this just on one LCD that your website images are appearing to display degraded? It might be a local issue with that LCD? Do other website graphics appear normal?

324720 2005-02-14 00:06:00 I'm using opera. Must be something to do with the settings I guess.

Thanks for your help.

324722 2005-02-18 03:06:00 LCD screens are bad for graphics, but you are right this pic www.willungawaldorfschool.com.au
is degraded.
Very strange. Has it been over optimised?
What is your graphics package?
