Just downloaded the latest release of MySQL (or atleast I think it is), and I'm trying to install it, but it won't comply.

From console, I do:



$wget dev.mysql.com
et.nz/mysql/
$cd
$tar -zxvf mysql-max-4.1.9-pc-linux-gnu-i686.tar.gz
$cd mysql-max-4.1.9-pc-linux-gnu-i686
$./configure

./configure then complains about a code 11, or something, and I'm given addresses:

Lost, I ran the mysqlbug program, filled out what I thought was the email to be sent off and sat blankly as I had no idea what to do.

How do I fix this problem? How do I use the mysqlbug program? What's the issue?
