325092 2005-02-14 20:18:00 These marks are in each corner of the print area of every page. They appeared after I linked a Word doc to something in MS Project.
They don't print so I guess they are guides or something but I want them to go away!
Hope you can help

Not a lot of help when the markers are on-screen only. :p

Welcome to PF1 Sally.

Take a look in Tools>Options>Views and see if any of the page boundary options are ticked. I only have Word 2000 so that style of marker is not in my menu.

If you don't find anything there and it appears on all Word documents, try closing Word, deleting the file normal.dot (usually found in Documents & Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates) then reopening Word, which will recreate normal.dot. If you can't find Normal.dot, use Start>Search>Files & Folders option, that will pull it up.

If none of this helps, wait till Godfather spots this thread and he may have the answer for you.

Cheers

325096 2005-02-14 21:58:00 Thanks guys
The Tools Options solution didn't do it, the answer was in the Microsoft article and involved removing a whole lot of enabled Asian languages. Don't ask me how they got there in the first place!
Anyway, I really appreciate the help. I just need to get the Twink off the screen now.
