| 325074 | 2005-02-14 18:43:00 | :help: Hi all I need some help. :help: I was on my medion laptop the other day when it made a crackle nose from the speakers and just froze up. I then tryed to turn it off but i couldnt , i had to take the battery off to shut it down. I then tryed to turn it back on but it wouldnt come on. I left it over night just incase it had over heated. but in the morning it looked like it was going to come on but as it was uploading it done the same thing and just froze. It seems the longer i leave it the closer to coming on it gets but it never fully comes on. Could anyone PLEZzzz help me and let me no what the problem mite be. I need to get it on coz it has a lot of my work saved on it and i carnt afford to lose it menny thanx :thumbs: |

Eg, up to the Windows splash screen or up to when it finishes POST (when all the computer details scroll past)? What operating system is your laptop running? If you leave the battery out, and just power up with it plugged into the mains, does this make a difference? |

| 325076 | 2005-02-15 05:38:00 | How much memory does it have? Do you have an additional SODIMM installed over and above the standard memory? I had a similar problem with my laptop and it turned out it was faulty RAM. If I left it to cool down I could sometimes get it to start. |
