The "Incorrect parameters" message means that the OS doesn't recognise what the failed read attempts have returned to it. You need a programme which doesn't require a good disk. ;) The Norton "NU" programme used to be able to get information from some dead disks ... but my experience with that dates back to MFM disks which oftenfailed. The DOS versions I used wouldn't handle 40GB disks. A Linux system might be able to read the "raw disk" with dd, then the files could be found and extracted with a bit of work. That probably won't work with the USB enclosure ... and, anyway, it would probably take more than the 4.5 hours it took you to scan the photos. I think I would get out the scanner. And be glad it's only 4.5 hours.;) |

I have had to use a data recovery company in the past for some lost company data (approx 5 weeks work), cost a cool grand to get it back!! By comparison an effective backup system looks attractive doesn't it. | Sb0h (3744) | ||
