2005-02-14 07:14:00 Have you got Microsoft Office (or a part of it)? There is a program included in Office called Microsoft Script Editor. It works quite well as a WYSIWYG or text HTML editor. Filename is MSE.exe (or could be MSE7.exe if Office 2003). I've used it for most of my websites over the years (and thanks to the guys here have recently started using it again from Office 2003 and the slightly different filename).

2005-02-14 07:21:00 The first html programme I used was Arachnophilia (www.arachnoid.com) - it was pretty easy to use a few years back but I haven't tried the latest version(s).

2005-02-14 08:03:00 You can do it in XP Office Word. However, being in Wanganui, I was shown the error of my ways by a local Benefactor. I would suggest, however, that you have a go at Word, just to try it & practice. No harm in trying it. I too nearly fell over at the price of MS Frontpage. As was suggested to me, try - atspace.com - for free web hosting. There are heaps of sites in Google, all very confusing to me. Good Luck. PJ Poppa John (284)
2005-02-14 08:19:00 Have a look at the PC World Mag, see top right 'view other IDG sites/ Find the article by Rebecca Freed about web sites, looks interesting. PJ

ps I think it was the 'No pain all gain' or somesuch article. pj

2005-02-14 09:05:00 What requirements do you have. Do you want a cuddly WYSIWYG editor or do you want to know/see what you are doing? ninja (1671)
2005-02-14 09:18:00 Mozilla Composer - lets you create your own web pages and publish them on the web. You don't have to know HTML to use Composer, it is as easy to use as a word processor.
