2005-02-17 02:12:00 | Hi I have 6 devices which need power cable from the PSU. however the PSU only has 4 attachment heads. I have tried connecting the case fan to the HD, then power head to extra head on the fan but then the computer doesnt boot. Is there a way to attach more than one device to each head? and also do larger poewr supplies come with more attachments? thanks

2005-02-17 02:20:00 | You need some power adapters. They plug into the existing molex connectors in the case.... | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |

2005-02-17 03:41:00 | case fans, wiht power attachments only, but wen i connect only to my 80gb HD, the comp still doesnt want to start up | fatty (6649) | |
2005-02-17 04:02:00 | Well you'll either have to get a power supply with more connections, or get fans with 3 pin connections on them, so they can plug into the connection on the mobo. If the mobo has connections. Most do. How many fans have u got??

2005-02-17 04:08:00 | ok . . . i think i need to be more detialed . I can start my PC with my 200gb SATA HD, 2 case fans, 2 dvd drives and everything else attached no problem . however wen i try to put the power attachment to my 80gb ATA drive, the comp fails to boot, even when the HD is the only thing attached . this totally stumps me . ? thanks

2005-02-17 04:18:00 | Whats the power supply? 200? 300 watts or what?? Check some of those power splitters, and make sure the wires are in properly. They have a tendency to come out and will stop power going thru to whatever device its plugged into.

2005-02-17 04:48:00 | 370W power supply. Everything works fine except for wen i connect that particular HD to it. I think it may be faulty HD as wen i connected it to the original computer it was in, the same thing happened ie, the comp failed to start just flashed on and then off again. is there a way of fixing this problem as I had 70gb of data on it. thanks
