| 325693 | 2005-02-16 17:56:00 | Hi all, I just purchased a 2.5 laptop hard drive and installed it in a case to use as an external disc drive. Plugged it in to the USB and the system acknowledges its existance and tells me it is working properly. However, if I go to my computer or try to save anything to it, it doesn't exist!!!!! Thanks - Sue :@@: Before you can use a hard drive it will need to be partitioned and formatted. Have you done this? What operating system are you using? |

Could you kindly guide me through the steps to get this formatted etc. I don't have a clue what I am doing here!!! Just completely out of my depth.
