"Thought I would tell you the latest in our healthcare saga .

I have not yet signed up for any of the Obamacare plans which is probably a good thing .

I found out my GP is going into a "concierge" practice so he will not accept it or any other insurance plan for that matter . This is beginning to be the trend here now . They charge you a huge fee like $3000-$5000/year for a "higher" level of service supposedly . Not sure I would ever buy into that .

My other MD is accepting some insurance plans but not the ones offered thru healthcare . gov

This is such a mess since I never thought the MD's would not accept the plans . Evidently the new plans have a different prefix on the ID plan member number so once you call to make an appointment they immediately know it is a government plan so they tell you they won't accept it .

I only have until June 1st to find another insurance plan so now I am not sure what I am going to do . I did find most insurance companies now will offer plans to individuals but the premiums are higher than the government plans . To be honest I would not be surprised if this all gets repealed by the next President .

It really hasn't hit our national news yet what is happening with the MD's not accepting the plans but it will pretty soon!"

"Basically NOTHING is covered by the $5000 yearly fee .

The fee is for the privilege to have your doctor available for same day appointments, and they agree to answer email questions, etc .

I have no clue who would ever pay that much but it won't be me .

We have Urgent Care centers all over the city . You can go there without an appointment pay about $100 which is probably what I will do .

This whole healthcare issue has gotten so messed up in this country .

I think the doctors are retaliating against the healthcare . gov since their reimbursements under these plans will be lower than what they got before .

Who knows? We may end up with all MD's not taking insurance at all . "
