I still have clients who insisted on using it..........
Just because you paid for a turd, doesnt mean you have to keep eating it. :p

Agreed. Unfortunately so many people I speak to have that mentality... "Oh its OK I've paid for Norton AV so I'll use it until it runs out then change". To which I casually respond "You're better off having nothing then, you may as well be unprotected and just have a faster PC".

1365542 2014-01-20 00:19:00 Yes its usually an argument to try & get Norton/mcafee removed, even when its stopped working. Ive given up now, If the customer insists on keeping it & wont listen to advice, I wont try & reason with them.
Yet Ive never had one complaint after removal, or customer wanting it put back on after they get the PC back & start using it.

1365546 2014-01-21 17:33:00 McAfee, like Lucas, serves a valuable service. It signposts those who should really have warning signs or foil hats displayed at all times, while simultaneously punishing them by extracting a fine and limiting their ability to maneuver much the same as a ball and chain was. Not quite, it's not "disappearing", just being "rebranded".
