1379375 2014-07-22 08:40:00 There was once a guy told me to install some of the programs he wanted and to visit some sites ( Read as Porn) , he actually disabled Nod32 first, because it would stop him :groan:

1379376 2014-07-23 02:00:00 That's odd I've never had NOD32 nuke any of my miners (predominantly cgminer). Chilling_Silence (9)
1379377 2014-07-23 04:49:00 I think CGminer might have survived, but I had a few others I'd played with like SGminer (which is a fork of CGminer and worked better for me) and a primecoin miner, a bitcoin miner etc. When I was still mining I had a 3rd party launcher/ monitor I was using to start SGminer so that it would restart if it stalled etc. Maybe what NOD32 objects to is anything that includes the CGminer code but is not the official program.

Not still mining are you Chill? At current prices the best you could manage is a relatively cheap heater, ie power costs more than the coins are worth. Unless you have "free" power from somewhere.

1379378 2014-07-23 06:27:00 Shut mine off a few days ago. It was doing a nice job of keeping the back end of the house warm though but I think we're better off selling the mining rig and getting a heat pump... Might get ~$600 a pop for the 2x R9 290X's, but I'm tempted to keep one and make myself a new gaming rig, just coz :D

No profitability now in LTC, DGB, even pooled mining not worth it. I'll see how things go with Digibyte after they go multi-algo though :)
