| 1365263 | 2014-01-16 20:39:00 | NZ courier I had a few years ago had his very profitable area chopped up. Some area given to another courier who was whinging and his area chopped up for a new area. His accountant did his books after a few months and worked out he was making $9.00 an hour. Within a day he bailed from his franchise. |

I've had the pleasure(?) of dealing with them once, bought a video card which went through them, took over a week to arrive and in the end it was DOA. Rang them multiple times asking what was going on and they never gave a straight answer. You didn't say they were fast here: pressf1.pcworld.co.nz Or here: pressf1.pcworld.co.nz |

| 1365266 | 2014-01-17 19:58:00 | Down South.....individual couriers....Castle Parcels pass it on to Posthaste in some areas...Post Haste was a problem there....long story. The other thread was PBT. Castle Parcels is used by Overclockers...they are in Ch/ch. It's ordwer one day, thing arrives next day.....pretty fast for inter island. Longest to here was order one day, receive day after next. I use them to send around NZ now from here.......Napier it arrives next day from here, even on Saturday...Ch/ch a bit longer.... $12 from CP, $45 from Post Haste.....I know which I prefer. Like I said individual drivers have a lot to do with it...... |

| 1365267 | 2014-01-18 01:09:00 | NZ courier I had a few years ago had his very profitable area chopped up. Some area given to another courier who was whinging and his area chopped up for a new area. His accountant did his books after a few months and worked out he was making $9.00 an hour. Within a day he bailed from his franchise. I was a motorcycle courier with Castle Sprint many moons ago. I saw the writing on the wall when they started discounting their rates (couriers got a fixed percentage of the price charged to the customer). So we ended up working harder for less money. When I complained that our costs where not fixed (whereas the office costs were), and tried to argue that they should be discounting the office percentage ONLY, they tried to give me a (discounted) pickup in Devonport going to Papatoetoe when I was sitting (quite happily) waiting for a job in Albany - there was another courier just about to be free in Takapuna. I refused the job and suggested they use the guy in Takapuna and they sacked me (apparently they didn't like their couriers to be too assertive - or logical) - the first and only job I have been sacked from. I worked out later that the job that would have paid me around $8.00 would have cost me approximately $18.00. Best decision I ever made to refuse that job - apparently it only got worse for the remaining couriers after that. And they closed up shop eventually... |
