2005-02-18 05:50:00 | Like I said, I did go to the shop. And they told me that they would contact their supplier on monday, and would definately call me by Tuesday. Well they are three days behind schedule. And its my right to get it, but I doubt I could just go and "get" it by use of any kind of force. | ScaredEye (7358) | |
2005-02-18 06:12:00 | Well i would either go back to the shop or take the mobo back get a refund and go elsewhere. For better service. | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2005-02-18 07:06:00 | You have every right to get the all the goods listed on the box or in the manual. Did the box appear to be factory sealed? suspect returned/second hand goods. What shop is it? If they are not playing ball, get a refund now before you need to return something under warrenty. You don't want to be testing their dedication to service and their customers when you really need them to perform. Mention the CGA to them, politley of couse.

2005-02-18 07:18:00 | If you do not receive the complete product you paid for within a reasonable time (7 days seems quite reasonable to me) you are entitled to return the goods for a full refund. Then you can go elsewhere to buy what you want. If you don't get the refund you can complain to Consumer Affairs For more detailed advice, go to the Consumer Affairs website. | 326122 | 2005-02-18 07:24:00 | I dont want to name the shop just yet, I want to be fair to them too. I sent them an email, and I'll have to go with the flow from there. I am not fimilar with "CGA". BTW, even in the board's manual it states "If the above items are damaged or missing, contact your retailer." Can this be used in favour of me?? Thanks for your responses.

2005-02-18 07:26:00 | God isn't it a bit early to be writing to the intarweb about this? You've been to the shop once, they said they're going to get it for you. Surely logic and initiative would be to call them and remind them - maybe they had it and you were engaged when they tried to call and they haven't got back to it yet. Not that big a deal seriously.

2005-02-18 08:18:00 | CGA = Consumer Gaurantee Act Yeah, don't toss the baby with the bath water just yet, give them a chance to perform. I would still be interested to know if the box was shrink wrapped when you bought it.
