326872 2005-02-20 21:18:00 I got a new computer at work. It had a trial version of office 2003 but my company only has office XP license, so I loaded Office xp. I descovered after loading that i could not set word as my default mail editor in Outlook. I would check it as such, but when I would hit compose it would say word could not be found and default to outlook as editor. I tried opening word an composing right from there, but it says mail envelope could not be found and hinted it might be something with config of office. I went ahead and reloaded office. no luck. tried Office repair, no luck. tried loading office xp service pack3 no luck. I really need wordmail to work as I do a lot of mail merging from an access database and send out email. hope someone can help. I looked at some of the other workstations in the office and found one other workstation with same trouble so I know its not just this one. please help. BarKey (7383)
