326526 2005-02-19 22:21:00 My new baby's got an LCD "XGA Active Matrix TFT screen". Is there any recommended methods for cleaning it?

It's only a few weeks old but already getting dusty.

Thanks.

If it's just dust, try a soft, lint free cloth- a PC store should have one

326528 2005-02-20 00:20:00 Anti-stat monitor cleaner seems to do the job and meths removes any streaks on the screen (others may say it's bad for the screen but it works) wintertide (1306)
326529 2005-02-20 00:22:00 I just use a damp cloth. Zygar (29)

326531 2005-02-20 02:12:00 Yea a damp cloth would be fine then dry with a dry cloth, but make sure its not a static cloth. Buggie (7149)

Best avoided.

326534 2005-02-20 03:27:00 Personally, I have a squirt bottle of stuff for cleaning my glasses, OPSM lens cleaner, it works well on my LCD screen as well netchicken (4843)
326535 2005-02-20 08:36:00 When I bought a laptop 3 years ago the sellers recommended Mr Muscle or similar squirted into water; lint-free cloth soaked in and well wrung out; rub over screen, keyboard and case; finish with dry lint-free cloth. 3 years on laptop still looks (and performs) good as new.
