I get the error in Outlook 2003 when i click on a link in an email, that the operation has been cancelled because I don't have permission, blah blah blah .

I have tried resetting the internet options in IE three times and it doesn't change a thing . I don't have access to another computer where I can copy the reg key so I can try the second fix .

Should i start all over? Uninstall Outlook, do the IE "fix" then reinstall?
I'm completely at a loss . It used to be so easy to install software before Microsoft started trying to "protect" us . Microsoft is no help whatsoever . . . big surprise .

If someone can give me some step by step instructions to try, I would REALLY appreciate it! I'm going nuts!
Laura

327422 2005-02-22 21:05:00 If you have Spybot installed this might be worth checking and then do the MS fix again.
The imunizations page in "Spybot" has a check box that says....
'Lock IE Control panel from opening from within IE
Uncheck this.

327423 2005-02-23 15:35:00 Johnboy--thank you tons for the link to the reg key .
I installed it, but still have the same problem . Should I uninstall and reinstall Outlook 2003?
Even after restart of computer, problem still there .

Safari--I did check Spybot and that setting is okay .
Getting closer . . . .
