327293 2005-02-22 02:39:00 I have installed a few games in the past off the PC World disks, and run them without a problem. Then, when i reinstalled a game i haven't played for ages and run it, The game plays ok but the screen flickers hard out. It also seems to do it with a couple of other games ive tried to run. I when't into the Direct X diagnostic tool and run that, when i get to the "Test Direct Draw to draw in fullscreen test" the box that I'm ment to see is there, but it flickers hard out too. I have a G-Force 2, 32meg Graphic card with the latest driver. I have Direct X version 9c. Please what can i do? Are there any other drivers i have to update? Thanks:) G-Boy (6793)
327294 2005-02-22 03:01:00 Check the quality settings under the NVidia Driver.

I had similar problems and even had "Crash to Desktop" and after I changed the setting from Best Quality to Best Performance the problems went away.

327296 2005-02-23 01:04:00 Another thing you can try which also may work. Use earlier drivers, go back one level at a time, until you get a stable setting.

Yes,I had to do that, later drivers wont work well with my Geforce 2 GTS.Ended up back with 40.something.

DirectX 9 support in the driver is only really needed, if your card supports the additional features. Your GF2 only supports DirectX 6 or 7, however, your games needs Direct X 9 loaded.

9.0C includes support for Shader3.0 supported on higher end Nvidia gf6 cards. I have a GF4ti
