327256 2005-04-06 10:25:00 I hope my Benq FP937S+ arrives before the weekend.

I'll have to see for myself how the colours go. I've seen earlier LCDs and you could see that the reds were absolutely way off.

I'll be able to compare with a CRT side by side :)

And if there is a dead pixel it will go straight back.

327257 2005-04-06 21:00:00 A promised a short review.

1) DVI Connection. Worked straight away.
2) Driver CD. Not much on it except a test tool and the driver itself.
3) Brightness. Had to turn it down to half it was on 90%
4) Colours. Vibrant.
5) 1280x1024 resolution. I can see the pixels a bit more then my CRT.
6) Game Play. Wow, It all looks so much different. The detail at the higher resolution.
7) Real Estate. I can now have a proper desk.
8) Quality. No dead pixels
9) Value. At around $500-600 it is great value. see www.pricespy.co.nz for stockists.

Conclusion. Buy one of these.

327258 2005-04-07 01:11:00 Sounds very nice indeed. Have to save up some more. Cheapest on PriceSpy is $640.13. Can you get it cheaper? Where did you buy yours from? E|im (87)
327259 2005-04-07 02:17:00 I got through a friend in the trade @ cost+GST. However, $640 is less than $50 over what I will pay. With similar specc'd monitors costing 2x as much from other manufacturer's it is not bad. KiwiTT_NZ (233)

327262 2005-04-12 22:41:00 Follow-UP.

To play DVD's I had to drop the refresh rate of the monitor to 60hz from the default setting of 75hz.

327265 2005-04-13 06:59:00 DVI spec is 60Hz so I would leave it on that. :) E|im (87)
