327355 2005-02-22 06:19:00 After a format, how do I get back all the programs bought of the internet? All the registration codes and such like, so I don't have to buy them again.

I thought this might be handy for me to know before I go ahead

327356 2005-02-22 06:48:00 Look under about in the program?? For the registration info? If they dont show there, you may have to email the maker in question, so they can resend your registration info via email.

If u havent got another partition, or a cd burner, to put the files u d/l, you'll have to download them again. And reinstall them.

Usually the information for registration will be sent via Email. If this is the case then backup all your Email and you will have the reg data assuming you have not deleted same.

At the moment I have 8447 items in my inbox and 387 items in my sent items.

Useful for checking on things.

327358 2005-02-22 07:30:00 I keep a text file on a floppy in which I record all logons, keys, registrations, passwords etc. It runs to several pages now!

That way I am not at risk of having memory fade, and security is not a big problem either. I mean, who would want to troll through a pile of floppies in the hope of finding some obscure software registration?

Cheers

327360 2005-02-23 04:40:00 Hi AMD1. At the moment I have 8447 items in my inbox and 387 items in my sent items. At the moment, end of working day, I have three items in my Inbox. Everything else of interest is allocated to various folders and subfolders. Including a folder for emails containing receipts and keys for purchased/downloaded programmes. Scouse (83)
